Tristan & Isolde

MP:

Alright. There was two main reasons why I wanted to see this movie. I knew it wasn't going to be the best movie of all time, but I wanted to know how the novel was adapted, and, well, I wanted to see James Franco. He's hot.

I don't remember everything about the book we were forced to read in high school, but apart from the love triangle and the names of the characters, I couldn't see anything I might have read. Maybe I have a lousy memory. There was no boat, no love potion, nothing like that. So anyway. I think to really enjoy this movie, you have to stop thinking about the book and take the story like one you have never herd about before.

There seemed to be much more politics involved in the movie. There was much about the tribes that divided England and Ireland. It made for a pretty good story. And there was a good supporting cast.

But man, oh man. James Franco. Even if I didn't stand the story, it would have been all worth it just to see the look on his face throughout the movie. His desperation to be seperated from the woman he loves. He seemed to feel permanently tortured inside not to be with her. I could look at him forever.

So this was a futile reason to go see this movie, but overall, it was pretty good.
